HipHop, Web 3.0 & Web 4.0
Facebook has developed HipHop which programmatically transforms PHP source code into highly optimized C++ & then compiled by g++ means 50% CPU usage could be reduced.
Web 3.0 will be next future, means search will be more intelligent and Web 3.0 browser will act like a personal assistant. According to my thinking, Aritificial Intelligence will be used maximum to fulfill tasks. Information will be categorized & stored in such way that both human & computer will be able to understand so we can also say that Web 3.0 would be Semantic Web.
Internet will be accessed using maximum devices & different types of Mobiles etc. & no doubt house wife will be also able to read her emails & messages etc. through TV & Digital Oven etc.
But I think unbelievable revolution will take place with the introduction of Web 4.0 when World Wide Virtual Web will be fully implemented, you will use web like real life in form of virtual stores. Even, you will feel the fragrance while purchasing perfume at home.
Sooner, Internet speed will be many times higher & there will be no high costing of hardware & resources. Devices will become cheaper & cheaper as new technologies & hardware will introduce.
Until year 2020, I can see where World & Web will be. No doubt with the increment of facilities, crime ratio will also increase accordingly.
